[edit]Which part of Dulwich Wood is in Lambeth? There are a few other scattered fragments of the Great North Wood in that borough, but I am not aware of any of them being called Dulwich Wood. I would suggest that the mention of LB Lambeth and the Lambeth category should be dropped. Lang rabbie00:20, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- It isn't. The OS map shows the Lambeth/Southwark boundary down in West Dulwich. Actually whether or not it is a place is debatable. The ridge can be called Dulwich Woods or Upper Sydenham or Sydenham Hill depending on how you look at it. The OS map shows no reference to Dulwich Wood. I do wonder if this article needs delinking and deleting? Regan123 00:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have edited the article to remove the Lambeth references. I'm minded to keep a separate article (possibly renamed Dulwich Woods?) distinct from anything with a Sydenham title. Because of involvement of the same landlord for four centuries, there is scope for contributors with local knowledge to include something on management of the remaining woodland habitats, the initial 19th century housing development by the Dulwich Estate and the unususal post-war private redevelopment by Wates for the Estate.--Lang rabbie 16:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
